In December, the first Longi eccentric eddy current separator passed final test and was sent to working site. It is applied for scrap autos.
At present, widely applied eddy current separators are concentric. To separate materials with small particle size, scrapers are designed to be smaller. However, if there is any tramp iron in the material, it will circle on surface of belt. The concentric rotator can induct high temperature in a short time. Surge of rotator temperature leads to break down of the equipment. Eccentric eddy current separators get rid of tramp iron easily together with better separation of materials.
